Best Bets of Week 11

Best bet record 14-15-1

Man, we were so close to our second 3-0 week of the season. It is all because of one man NICK CHUBB!!! Something about those Georgia running backs man. At least it pushed. Thoughts and prayers to anyone who had Browns -3.5 or 4. The Rams did what I thought they would do, get after Russel Wilson and that defense came to play. PJ’s Guarantee gets back on track with America’s team the Miami Dolphins as the covered with ease against the Chargers. Hopefully we can build off some momentum after a good week so here are this weeks best bets.

1) Lions(+1.5) @ Panthers

The Lions are the most vanilla team in the National Football League. Every year I feel like they are going to go 8-8 7-9 or 9-7 and it looks that way again this year as they are 4-5 so far this year and after this game will be 5-5. The Panthers have lost 5 straight and while they been every game they just haven’t been able to secure the W. With no CMC again this week and it looks like Teddy Bridgewater will be out after spraining his MCL the Lions now to me have the better roster. The Panthers 1-6 ATS vs. a team with a losing record and 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 home games. The Lions are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings. This won’t be an exciting game to watch but I’ll take the healthier team Lions 26 Panthers 20

2) Patriots(-2) @ Texans

This will be the 3rd week in a row the Texans will be involved in the best best section of the blog. We are 0-1-1 on those picks. This means this one has to be a W? Right? I am picking the Patriots the same reason I picked the Browns last week against the Texans and that is the run game. The Patriots average 161.1 rushing yards per game which is good for 3rd in the NFL. While the Texans are still dead last in the NFL against the rush at 167.4 yds/game. The Patriots are 22-8 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Texans are 2-5 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Patriots played their best game of the season last week vs the Ravens and I look for them to continue that momentum vs the Texans. Patriots 23 Texans 20

3) Dolphins(-3) vs Broncos (PJ’s Guarantee)

I feel like a broken record, but I will say it again. I love this Miami Dolphins team! Last week they covered easily so if it ain’t broke don’t fix it so we hammering the Fins again this weekend! Covering on the road is never easy in the NFL but it certainly helps that it looks like Drew Lock is going to be out this week with a rib injury. In the 2 games without Lock this year they are 1-1 but that one win was vs the Jets so does it really count? The Broncos defense has been swiss cheese lately giving up at least 30 points in its last 4 games so the Tua and Co. should have no trouble putting up points. Miami is 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games overall and 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite. Miami is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings between these two teams. I will continue to take the hottest team in football until they fail me Dolphins 27 Broncos 17
