What an awesome tribute by the teams of Philly to come together and create this. Sports in Philly are the lifeblood and for them to do a tribute like this was amazing! We Rise Above has never been more true now that we face uncertainty. But I know for one thing is Philly is the toughest city I’ve ever known and we’re going to beat this thing and come out stronger on the other side because that’s what we do.
The City of Brotherly Love is one of the best in the world. There’s a level of assurance here that is unlike anywhere else. Assurance I’ve witnessed firsthand while walking the city, even when people are head to toe wearing masks, gloves, protective gear, etc. they’ll give you a friendly nod as if they’re saying “We’re going to beat this fucking thing together.”
Looking back you know what the best thing I ever did was? Choose a corporate job, because I’m way to much of a pussy to do what our men and women in blue, firefighters, doctors, nurses, and any other essential worker does. I’d be useless. Shout out to our men and women on the front lines. We’re going to beat this virus and then I hope everyone who fought this virus are honored at every sporting event on every field, rink, diamond, and court when sports restarts so we can give you a standing ovation.
